A regal antique Victorian cluster ring from the late 1800s adorned with a large round cut amethyst in the centre weighing approx. 6 carats. It has a deep purple hue and is haloed by eight natural pearls with an additional pearl on each shoulder.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquility. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
The piece is crafted in 18ct gold and features a rope edge and gold beading around the gallery with detailed engraving down the sides of the band. It’s an impressive antique statement ring and in excellent condition.
